Prof. FAN Zhiyong has been named an Xplorer Prize 2022 (Ke Xue Tan Suo Jiang) winner in the Advanced Interdisciplinary Studies category. The Xplorer Prize, which is supported by the Tencent Foundation, encourages young scientists in Mainland China, Hong Kong and Macau to explore unexplored areas of basic sciences and frontier technologies. This year, 50 awardees have been selected across 10 disciplines. The first prize of RMB 3 million will be granted over five years. It is one of the highest awards in prestigious science and technology talent funding programmes in China.
